About the Book

Emerging Horizon for Sustainable Agri-Business Management is a comprehensive volume that brings together diverse research and case studies aimed at enhancing the sustainability, profitability, and resilience of agri-business systems across India. The book explores key areas such as value chain analysis, green marketing, rainwater management, natural farming, horticultural innovations, post-harvest technologies, and agri-entrepreneurship. With a strong regional focus on the North Eastern states, including Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Sikkim, as well as states like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, the book captures the geographical and agro-ecological diversity of Indian agriculture. Topics include the commercial potential of dry fish, organic spice marketing, ICT in extension communication, waste utilization, and climate-resilient farming practices, alongside advanced methods such as resampling techniques for crop estimation and soil erosion analysis using Caesium-137. The book also discusses policy-relevant themes like doubling farmers’ income, market access, and the role of agri-business incubators. It serves as an essential resource for students, researchers, agri-entrepreneurs, development professionals, and policymakers interested in promoting sustainable and inclusive agri-business development in India.
