Biodiversity can be quite easily defined as the diversity or variety of living organisms on this planet. It has been understood as the measure of the variety of organisms present in different ecosystems. This can refer to genetic variation, ecosystem variation or species variation within an area, biome or planet. This book entitled “A new horizons in Biodiversity” consists of 23 chapters. The chapters are mainly focused on the diversity of Molluscs, Planktons, fishes, Crabs, Silkworms, Butterflies, Insects, Crustaceans, Spiders, etc., The authors have put an effort to explain each and every point of respective diversities. This book has been brought to the society, keeping in mind students of graduate and post graduate, research scholars and teaching faculty.
Keeping the view in mind that environmental monitoring and crop management are of vital importance and that hese are essential parts of modern agricultural experimentation, the present symposium volume has been compiled. The subject matter of the volume has been presented in four parts,viz.(1) Abiotic environment and crops,(2) biotic environment and crops,(3) edaphic environment and crops and (4) modification of biotic environment and crops and quality, representing the four sessions for presentation of the papers. At length discussions were held on three driving variables of environment namely precipitation, relative humidity and temperature of the area and their impacts on crop production, herbagebiomass, carbon, nitrogen, fertilizers, animal numbers etc.
